We feel so blessed by this little girl. God has given us a true gift. She is healthy, she makes us laugh, she likes to pray, and she likes to eat too! We were at my in-laws for dinner and there was chocolate cake for dessert. Sophie devoured her piece. As I was tucking her into bed tonight she says, "Mommy, wuv (love) you; wuv chocolate cake!" As she started herself into a fit of giggles into the pillow, I knew it was the chocolate cake talking!
Dear Lord:
As Your little darling sleeps tonight, with her 19 lovies by her side...please keep her safe in Your arms. We pray that she would know how deep, how wide, and how high Your love for her is. We pray that we would raise her to know You and Your love in a very personal way. That when people see her or our family, that they would see YOU. We pray that our love for her would be Your love. We pray that she would come to know You at a very early age and serve You the rest of her days. Thank you for how sweet she is. Thank you for how she makes us laugh. Thank you for the times (often) that You teach us lessons through her. Please fulfill Your good works in her. We are so thankful that You are in charge of her life, because otherwise we love her too much and we would worry ourselves silly. Tonight help her to, even as she sleeps, be sensitive to Your promptings and care for her.
We love you, Father.
