God is teaching me...

God compiled the whole canon of Scripture to teach us about human nature as well as His nature. God's full intent is for us to view them side-by-side, but not just so we'll cower with humiliation in the light of His holiness. Our Creator unquestionably wants us to know He's God and we're not, but He also wants us to see who we were meant to be when He formed us in His image...What would be the reward of our existence if we were only repentant and never repaired? Discontent with selfishness and weary of ego, we finally become willing to lose ourselves to something greater. In doing so, we find Christ as we've never known Him and, pooled in the reflection of His eyes, startle to discover that a part of ourselves resembles Him.

Sophie's Latest...

She likes to visit the library and is learning how to check books out
Her favorite song is "Jesus Loves Me" and she will sing it while "playing" the piano
She's memorizing a Bible verse each month for preschool
She has a fantastic ability to remember exactly what you say...uh-oh!
She loves to call people and talk on the phone
She is learning her counting and alphabet; she can write her own name!
She loves to run
She has the most adorable laugh
She loves to "read" her books
She loves to play hide and seek with Poppy
She loves to pray and "talk to Jesus"
